Why do they call the tiny candy bars “Fun Size”? I just don’t get it. It’s no more fun eating them than a larger candy bar. In fact, it is frequently less fun and more wasteful. To get my fill of candy requires more time unwrapping and a larger pile of wrappers to throw out. It just seems more efficient and sensical to buy the regular size candy bar and be done with it.
That said, I do like discount Halloween candy, which is where this stemmed from.

Happy Birthday, Vaughn!
My son turned 1 year old today! As we speak, he’s attempting to walk. Right now he can only get a few steps without falling, but he’s learning very quickly.

We’re back!
What a long drive from Norridgewock, ME to Greece, NY – took us 14 hours due to periodic stops to feed and change Vaughn. The trip home was better since we split it into two legs and stayed overnight at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Vermont. Overall it was a great trip, but I sure am glad to be home. I love Maine.

Ready to go
I just went with my boss and picked up the car they are renting for us to drive out to Rochester, NY. It is a 2012 Chevy Impala. 300hp of American highway cruiser. While I’m not a Chevy guy at all, I have to say I’m quite impressed so far with the build quality. We’ll see what I feel like after the 1,200 mile round trip. Though I have to wonder how much of it is just the fact that I’ve never driven anything newer than a 2002…
We also have our house sitter situation all figured out, yay!
