Blog for money?

Is it even possible to blog for money?  I’ve done a lot of research and the answer is “sort of.”  The reason I say that is, yes, you can make money – BUT – you are most likely looking at a very small amount unless you are an excellent writer, have a lot of time to put into it and are good at SEO.  Your money will normally come from advertisements on your blog.   That said, I’ve heard of folks selling their ramblings to magazines for a small profit (albeit this is rather rare).

I’m thinking of starting a blog for this purpose to test the waters.  I’m not sure if I want to do it music/guitar based or an automotive news type of thing.  It may never happen at all…who knows?

Raymond Wood Heat

I’ve always wanted to own my own business.  I’ve thought of everything from a General Store to a Custom Hotrod Shop.  Currently my thinking is that I would be interested in starting a business called “Raymond Wood Heat.”  We would sell and service wood stoves, pellet stoves and chainsaws.

Probably won’t go anywhere, but I like to dream.

Model T w/2.3 Lima + T5

Interesting project.  Model T coupe kit with 2.3 lima (112hp, 135tq) and a T5 transmission.  Or you could do the Model T pickup kit and use the 2.5 lima that came in later Ford Rangers (117hp, 149tq).  Of course either engine could go in either body, but the 2.5 is more of a tq engine and the 2.3 is more of a revver.

I figure that either configuration would yield 30+ mpg and a 0-60 time of 5 seconds or so – both stats dependent on rear end gearing.

Tasha’s birthday

26 years ago today, my wonderful wife was born in Rumford, ME.  She was a little, tiny, squirmy, smelly baby…I guess not much has changed.

J/K!

I love you honey.

Worries

Worry for nothin’,
Why worry at all?
We got the big things covered,
And even the small.

But that don’t stop me.
No, I don’t think I can
Stop from the suffering
That I bring down, man.

Jitters hit me softly.
I start to sweat with no heat.
My body shivers cold
And my heart it starts to beat.

I come down.
Nothings different from before.
The worries are gone for now.
But for them I open the door.
