Just got back from another New Sharon Day meeting. I’m part of the New Sharon Day committee and we’re pretty much all set for the events and festivities that will be happening on July 23rd in little New Sharon, ME. There will be singing, dancing, demonstrations, contests and free food to citizens of New Sharon. I will be building a one page site to highlight the coming events and will post a link once it is all up and running. Exciting times!
We started working on repairing the small bedroom’s floor this weekend. I got the carpet up and started removing the 1/4″ plywood underneath. After that I will need to pull up a few floor boards and see what the damage is. I’m expecting there to be a cracked/broken floor joist. Since they are 24″ on center and only 2×6, that would cause the floor sag for sure. I’m hoping to be able to jack it up via the living room ceiling and then sister the joist with one or two new 2×6’s and lag screws or bolts (depending on clearance).
We also picked up a bunch of pepper plants that we are hoping to plant in the coming week or so.
Life is good!
I’ve got a bad case of the Fridays. I just want to go home, don’t feel like being at work at all. What’s worse is that I have a TON of things to do this weekend that probably won’t all get done because we need to get the Focus fixed up and stickered and that will probably take most of Saturday. Oh well, such is life. I really can’t complain, at least I have my health and my loving family!
Just about time to get back to work so, away I go!
Not so much. Me, a needle nervous freak, is saying it didn’t hurt. Either I have gotten to be less of a wimp, or needle technology has advanced in the past 10 years because this is nuts.
So, no, a Tetanus shot doesn’t hurt.
I am such a wimp when it comes to needles. Seriously, I get REALLY nervous. For two weeks I was dreading going to the dentist for a small cavity to be filled. I went in yesterday afternoon, they numbed my gum line with some paste on a cotton swab then stuck me with the needle. The thing is, I didn’t even feel it go in! Why was I so worried??
Anyway, all is done now and I have a new filling in one of my teeth. It’s one of those fancy epoxy ones or whatever and it’s white so you can’t see it. Super happy, no pain and my tooth is healthy again 🙂
