This is it

I’ve come to the conclusion that as much as I don’t like it, there is a saying that really fits life: “It is what it is.”

Bleh

Yup, that’s the way I’ve been feeling.  I think lack of sleep is the primary factor, but the oppressive heat and humidity we’ve been dealing with as of late probably isn’t helping either.  Also, some of my entries seem more like twitter updates than blog posts, and I would apologize, but that’s just how I roll.

Two Sounds

My Son made two sounds
Which made me over joyed.
The morning noises that he generally makes
Can leave one tired and annoyed.

But it was different this time.

He started by making noises
I would imagine started with “D”.
But soon he learned and figured out
How to say “da-da” and only to me.

I woke this morning,
Son in bed by my side.
He was crying and upset,
So I sat him up and he smiled.

He looked at me,
Reaching out to say “hi”,
And said “da-da”,
I thought I would cry.

My boy knows me.

Made in the USA – Stores

I’m always getting emails from Roger Simmermaker in his How To Buy American email list and over the past few weeks there have been a couple of really good mentions.  There are two separate stores that all they offer is Made in the USA goods.  What a cool idea!

The two stores are Hometown USA Stores in Nassau, NY and Norton’s USA in Barrington, IL.  Both stores have online sales via their respective websites as well as the option of going to the brick and mortar store in person.  Now we just need something like this here in Maine!
