“This formula contains a bitter ant to help discourage inhalant abuse and is non-flammable.”

I read this on an ad for a 6pk of compressed air.  Not sure what the disgruntled anthropod will do if you abuse the can though.

Fine

As my good friend Josh Turner puts it, “everything is fine.” In fact, everything is more than fine. I couldn’t ask for much more out of life than what has been given to me.  I’m just feeling really good about being me.

On a side note, I have realized that this is fairly ironically posted right above a poem I wrote about things not being so great. My poetry, as with all art, should be taken as words that don’t necessarily relate to my own real life, but to things I’ve noticed around me or sometimes complete fiction.

Tomorrows

A brighter day will come,
A brighter day will be.
It is not now for most,
It is not now for me.

My time has come,
My mood has gone sour.
It won’t be long though,
For cometh the next hour.

As time passes by,
One realizes there is no reason.
But reason or no,
There will be a new season.

The next day comes,
A bright sun above.
The same sun in science,
A new sun in love.

A fresh catalyst appears.
Motivated and peppy,
This will be all of us,
Grinning, laughing, and happy.

New guitar strap and new guitar stand

I’ve been on the look-out for a new strap for my tele.  Well, I’ve found one.  It’s made here in the USA and it’s made from old car seatbelts.  Thank you Couch for making such a killer strap.  It was pretty affordable as well at just $22.

The same day this came in, a package from my brother came in.  It was my birthday gift – a model CC37 String Swing guitar stand.  All metal, all awesome, all made in the USA.  Also inexpensive at only $24.99.

Both of these items are built to last and will probably be around until I am at least of retirement age.
