Truck fixed!

I finished replacing the broken shackle and bracket last night.  I ended up going with the Dorman parts due to price, availability and completion of the kit (included hardware etc).  Thanks go to Motor Supply in Farmington for having them on hand and at a good price.

The truck is so quiet now!  Obviously it was more noisy once the bracket actually broke, but even before that it was much more noisy than now.  I think the old bushings had worn out, combine that with the rusty bolts going through the rusty sleeves on the shackle and it was squeaky.  I greased the bolt shafts on the replacement parts and it seems to have paid off.

Next step: replace the driver’s side shackle and bracket before they fail.
