I want the new Kindle 3
I’ve been thinking about getting a netbook or iPad to be able to check emails, read forums and post on my blog. But I’m cheap. And I want something durable, easy on electricity and still functional. Enter the Kindle 3. At a price of only $139 it has a grayscale screen and battery life of over 1 month, that’s right, a whole MONTH! It can browse the internet, read pdfs and of course ebooks with ease. I hadn’t ever gotten into the whole ebook thing, and probably never will entirely since I like “real” books made of paper. But there is a Starcraft novel that only comes as an ebook and I would love to read it without having to sit at my computer all the time.
Maybe it’s finally time for a Kindle.

The Mondays
I’m having a severe case of “The Mondays.” All kinds of issues at work, it’s raining, I still have a cough and I just want to crawl under a rock and go to sleep till Tuesday.

SSGuitar.com now on my webspace!
In 2006 I launched SSGuitar.com with the help of my friend Chris Mroz who provided tech support for me as well as the webspace to host the project. It is a forum-based website focused on constructing, repairing and developing solid state guitar amplifiers. The community has grown to over 2,500 members and we have an average of over 10 new posts every day. It is still a fledgling site, but is coming along nicely and I plan on pushing it farther this fall and into winter when our peak posting time hits.
Last week I finished the transfer with Chris and SSGuitar.com now resides on my own webspace and is solely owned and operated by yours truly.

I’m Getting Better
I saw the doctor on Monday about my cold/sinus issues and was told I have Chronic Sinusitis. I was prescribed Amoxicillin. When I took my first dose, I had some anxiety and numbness. I talked with the doctor on the phone and they told me not to continue taking it. Well now (the next day) I’m feeling better and I’m not sure if I’m healing on my own or if it was from the single dose of Amoxicillin. Regardless I’m pretty happy. Here’s hoping I continue getting better.
I’m willing to bet the reason isn’t the drugs, but rather the fact that since Monday I have been using my Neti Pot once a day and cleaning my sinuses out real well. On top of that and drinking lots of water and tea, that’s probably why I’m feeling more like myself today.
