There IS a difference! (RJ45 plugs)
After spending almost 2 hours and wasting 8 RJ45 ends along with 2 feet of Cat6, I realized the reason I couldn’t get all 4 pair to test properly was that I am using solid wire with plugs that are made for stranded wire. Damnit. I just ordered the right plugs. Guess I’ll have both on hand now.

Rearranged my office
So I ordered a new keyboard wrist rest along with a new phone line so I could move my office around – wow, what a difference! My hands don’t hurt typing and my office feels so much more comfortable now that I’ve done some shifting of things. I should have done this a while ago!

Brick work is done
This weekend I finished the brick work on the hearth (actually red cement pavers). At the beginning I actually told my wife, “Hey, this is fun, it’s like I’m a mason!”. By the end I was thinking to myself, “I feel like a mason who hates his job.”
