Allergy season is here again, at least for me

Monday morning I woke up with a stuffy nose and itchy eyes that water at even the slightest of discomfort.  Not a great way to start the week.  I started taking some Zyrtec Monday night and now I’m starting to feel more like myself, but still pretty cruddy.  According to pollen.com, things aren’t going to get better much sooner.  Oh well, could be worse, right?

Felt like crap, now I’m fine – plus I want a Roomba

This morning on my way to work I had to stop and get windshield washer fluid for the truck.  While at the store I decided to grab a “Hot Pickled Sausage”, not the kind in the 2 gallon clear peanut butter containers, but an individually vacuum packaged type deal – I don’t remember the brand.  I ate it on my way into work.  Around 10 minutes after noon, I realized that eating it before work was a mistake.  I spent 20 minutes in the bathroom on the toilet paying for the deed and another 1.5 hours feeling like crap afterwards.  I don’t think I’ll get that again…I’ll stick to the meat snacks I know for now.

Also, totally unrelated, I want to get a Roomba.  They are frickin’ sweet!  I’ve always wanted a robot, and this seems like a cheap, safe and useful way to go about it.  The name of the company makes me a little leery though, iRobot.  Didn’t they see the movie??

Compete.com – cool way to tell how your site is doing

A few months ago I fumbled across a neat website, Compete.com.  It is a website analytics type of site where you simply put in your web address and it calculates approximate traffic and other statistics by way of search engine data.  It is similar to Alexa.com but has the added feature of being able to quickly check how “similar” sites compare to yours.

Check it out, it’s neat!

NOTE: I am in no way affiliated with Compete.com or Alexa.com and have only used the free services available by both vendors.
