Not sure how to feel

2/5 wood cut

Isaac was up over the weekend and he helped me bring in another cord of wood from the tree I dropped on back side of our property.  We now have 2 of our 5 cords cut and stacked.  I will need to pull the stacks apart as the rounds haven’t been split yet, but at least they can start seasoning now.  3 more cord then I will start the splitting process.  With any luck we’ll have all our wood cut by the end of May.

Trailer?

I’m in the market for an inexpensive trailer.  Something that can carry at least 1/4 cord of firewood (1,250lbs wet).  Probably something like a 4’x6′ with some stake pockets on the side.  I’ve found a few used ones, but nothing real notable yet.  I am looking at a popup camper I could convert to a utility trailer easily and would be able to haul a good load though, we’ll see if that works out.  Regardless, if anyone has a cheap trailer they want gone that can carry 1,500lbs or better – I’m interested.  Oh yeah, 8″ tire trailers need not apply.

Looking forward to the weekend

I’m super excited about this weekend.  We have 3 trees that need to be removed from our back yard and I’ll be working on it with the 562XP – should be a blast!  That saw is like a light saber through just about everything.  Plus this should get us between 1 and 1.5 cord of firewood for next year.
